Wi the Liberal Party decided to propose Home Rule in the 06 election and also to propose National Insurance and the People's budget.

Sadly this is essentially ASB.

After Gladstone many Liberals were indifferent or even hostile to Home Rule and they were only willing to fight for it when circumstances forced them to and they were dependent on Irish votes to stay in power.
