Effects of earlier development of sugar beet based production of sugar in Europe?

Extraction of sugar from sugar beet is discovered in 17th century France. In OTL Olivier de Seres discovered you could extract a sugar syrup out of beets in 1575 but did not push with his discovery, It was not till 1747 that Andreas Margrraf in Prussia proved you could extract sugar from beets and not till 1801 that the first factory producing sugar from beets came to being.

So say that instead De Seres pushes forward with his discovery. By 1600 he has demonstrated you can produce sugar from beets. By 1650 sugar production from beets in Europe is starting to become a thing. Sugarcane produced sugar is still dominating the market but now it has an alternative.

How much does it affect things?

Errr... to get any reasonable amount of sugar, you need to breed beets to massively increase the sugar content.

How about slavery in the Caribbean? If sugar beets are utilized earlier, then there could be a drastic reduction of sugar plantations planted in the Caribbean, and hence, a lower slave trade.
