The American Secretary of State was sent down to Mexico to meet with the parties and hammer out a cease fire leading to the end of conflict between the Mexican Government and the Rebel forces. The President was tired of the chaos that was ongoing in the region and hoped that he could finally get the parties to settle down and coexist.
The President was scheduled to meet with the Hawaiian Prime Minister and deal with some of the issues that had developed as a result of the American base on Truk Island.

The American President was talking about moving to new technology such as planes to replace airships. The US had begun to embrace planes for its military.
He had moved to establish better relations with his neighbors to the south. America had helped to defuse the tensions between Mexico and the three countries that had broken away from Mexico. Tensions between the Commonwealth of Sonora and Mexico had eased to the point that trade had begun between the two and travel restrictions
were being eased. The Mayan Kingdom however was still closing its border to Mexico

President Moseby seemed to be following the direction set by the Late President Theodore Roosevelt. He had submitted a proposal to build two additional North Carolina Class Battle ships as part of a continuation of the expansion of the US Navy. The Third ship would be the USS Connecticut and the fourth the USS Oregeon.

The President had also proposed spending money to modernize the army. It was time that the army became motorized and there was a need to better equip it for what might happen rather than for fighting the last war. America had changed a great deal. There was more paved roads than ever. There was some construction going on where Washington DC had once sat.

President Moseby was attempting to rebuilt America's influence in the world. First he wanted to make sure that to fire was out in Mexico and that there would be no further conflict between the various players. He also wanted to insure that the Canal in the Central American Republic was modernized.

The US,Hawaii and the Central American Republic were now holding talks regarding improvements to what was called The America Canal. Since Hawaii had built the Canal it had a big say regarding the Canal. What was going to be needed was Money as the improvements could end up being costly. Hawaii had a considerable military force to protect and maintain the Canal. Some stuff had been turned over to the Central American Republic's Military. The Central American Republic received 12% of the revenue from the Canal.

Talks between the three countries continued. The stumbling block was both the cost and the amount of improvements that were to be carried out. The Government of the Central American Republic also desired an increase in the revenue it received. It wanted 25% of the revenue but Hawaii said that the cost of improvements was going to be high and it could see that at the most an increase in revenue to the Central American Republic could be increased but not to 25%. It proposed an increase which would move it over 6 years from the current 12^ to 15%. The US agreed to contribute Five Hundred million to the cost and the fund would supply one point five billion dollars.Hawaii would provide the Hawaiian Military Corp of Engineers to oversee the project.
