Would an independent Confederacy centralize after an 1865 peace settlement?

Say the usual cliche of a peace candidate wins in 1865 and grants the Confederacy l its independence.

I think giving the shape of the Confederacy at that time, the South would've been forced to change its philosophies of states' right t centralization
 
Short answer: yes. The CSA was already heavily centralizing under the pressures of war as soon as 1862 and a peace in 1865 would have meant it would continue on that trajectory. They would have likely kept the patina of states' rights as part of their national mythology but they would have been just as centralized as the USA.
